AGM 2026 Rally - Stratford on Avon

When did the rally start ? Thats an interesting question as singers drifted onto the Stratford racecourse campsite over a few days. As a result, by Thursday the dining area of The Bell was full of our members, taking advantage of the midweek deals and our Blue Light discounts.
It was good that Carole led a Stretcherise session on Friday, as the Ukes pulled a sicky.
But the main event was the choir rehearsal. Our voices needed a lot of warming up but Brian did this with a smile ( or was it a fixed grin ? )
Saturday heard some better singing and I hope that the new members, Joyce and Arthur enjoyed their time.

The evening was a time for celebration. With cake and fizz we marked 50 years of marriage between Jenny and Bill. Then we danced the night away to our very own rock band The Prescriptions. The extra hour in bed from daylight saving was very welcome.
Less welcome was the storm that literally rocked us that night. Thank goodness no one was travelling.
Sunday started with quiet reflections and an improved choir sound. At least, that’s what the deaf Music Producer told me!

Our tellers had braved the storm and our guests of honour, Chairman and husband of Buckingham centre, were present.
The AGM reports are available elsewhere so I will move on to Sunday lunch and a relaxed Sunday night with games and music.
The weather this weekend could not have been worse but once again it didn’t stop us having a great time with great company.
